Review : OXX cosmetics Part I
So I was strolling around the makeup section in Kmart (as I always do) and I came across a brand with many products for only $2. Yes, you read that right ladies and gentlemen, only $2! I took a closer look at the brands name and it was 'oxx cosmetics'. I've seen the brand before but at that time they only had about 3 products but now they had an entire range. I'm talking everything from lip stick to eyeliner to mascara to eye shadow to primer and I think I even saw a pore filler. As it was a new and cheap makeup line, naturally there was barely any stock left but I managed to get my hands on their eye shadow and lip stick. Now that the anecdote is out of the way, let's get to the review!
I've been told by many people that a dark purple lipstick would suit me and so I went ahead and got one. The colour is named 'Bentley' and it's exactly what I was looking for.
The packaging is really cute and the name of the lipstick is underneath which is convenient. The consistency of the lipstick is creamy and really pigmented, which is all I could ever ask for. If you do want more pigment however, you can always wear a lip liner underneath. I will definitely by buying the other shades to test them out and see if they are also as good as this one.
I also brought an eye shadow quad that had four different colours. The colours and the palate didn't have a name so I decided to name them myself.
I liked how you can get four colours together instead of buying each one on it's own, and the all the colours suited each other. The two upper colours are shimmery and the two lower ones are matte. The only problem I had with these is that they weren't super pigmented and took a few swatches to get a decent colour.
Overall, I wouldn't say that these products are my holy grails however for something of this price they have great quality and worth going out and buying.
PS: I will be making a part 2 to this review when I am able to get the rest of the products from this brand.
